An INDIAN restaurant in Nuneaton has picked up the latest in a long line of awards. The Agra Palace, in Abbey Green, was named as the Best Local Restaurant in Warwickshire at the Spice Times Restaurant Awards.

Owner Jamal Ullah picked up a trophy and certificate at a ceremony at the City Pavillion, in Romford, and could not hide his delight.

Jamal Ullah said “We are very happy as this was an award voted for by customers who came in and then voted online. To get this on the back of being shortlisted for the British Curry Awards is really great”.

Agra Palace has also scooped the Best International Restaurant for 2009 at the Coventry and Warwickshire Food and Drink awards held at the Ardencote  Manor Hotel.
